The way my post/show notes are presented in WordPress includes media and layout tags that determine the appearance of content in the episode's post on my website, but get carried through into podcast players as plain text. Features like bullet points are also omitted. I want to continue providing images and rich formatting along with my episodes, but don't want these tags appearing in podcast players. I'd like more control in this area, such as through a podcast player only description/excerpt field the goes to the RSS feed instead of my wordpress post content.

Valeria MergedIt would be good if we could add a specific image per episode. As we want each cover image for each episode to represent the topic of the podcast and theme we talk about in it.

Moderator AdminThanks to everyone for upvoting this feature. This is coming shortly (can't give an exact date) but will include both the Description field and a custom episode image for the feed.

Moderator AdminThis is complete with the release of the plugin update today with v1.20.6 - there in the Podcast -> Settings -> Feed Details area you now have an option to use Post Excerpt for the <description> tag in the feed, or to use full Post Content for that area of the feed for each episode. By default WordPress uses a truncated version of the post content for the Excerpt, but you can place anything you'd like in there as a custom Description for the episode for feed purposes.
